Enjoy traditional Italian dishes with Okinawan ingredients!
You can experience Italian cuisine with a twist at Ippei. The creative Italian dishes served by an owner with chef experience in Australia are fabulous. The Authentic Course (changes monthly) is a must. It uses Okinawan ingredients: appetizers with suku (young rabbitfish), smoked Okinawan beef heart, marinated parrotfish and giant clams, and a pasta with the flavor of fresh sea lettuce. For the main dish, both the Okinawan pork and the imaiyu (fresh fish in the Okinawa dialect) are delicious, making the choice difficult. The way they cook means the meat is tender and the fish retains its full flavor. Seasoning is very delicate and uses local fruits like tankan (a type of citrus fruit) and passion fruit.
In the cooking class, hosted eight times every month, you can learn to make the recipes for food served in the restaurant as well as authentic Italian dishes and desserts. Classes offering simple school lunch box recipes and fun cooking with your kids are also appealing for customers.
